From all of us at Dress for Success Cincinnati, Happy New Year! We hope you had a fun, safe and refreshing holiday season.
2022 was filled with so many amazing moments for Dress for Success Cincinnati. Our year was bigger and better than ever before! Through the generosity of our donors, supporters and volunteers, we were able to serve nearly one thousand women. Between our Norwood office, our satellite location at the Care Center and all our mobiles, we have empowered many women across the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky region.
2022 at a glance
We opened our first satellite location at The Care Center in Loveland, OH. This location brings our services to women who may not be able to travel to our Norwood location.
DFSC hosted 13 mobile events! At these events, we bring our Mobile Transformation Center to other organizations such as colleges, recovery and addition centers and homeless shelters to provide women with professional attire for job interviews.
We expanded the HigherHER program to the Hamilton County CHANGE Court. Overseen by Hon. Heather S. Russell, this program serves women who have been charged with Prostitution and Related Offenses and victims of Sex Trafficking.
Thanks to generous donors Jeff and Missy Richardson, our Dream Wall was installed! On this wall, women can write down their biggest hopes and dreams after being styled in their interview or employment pieces.
We hosted 776 styling appointments! This includes interview outfit appointments and 10-piece employment appointments. These appointments took place in our Norwood office, our satellite location at the Care Center, and even at other organizations through our Mobile Transformation Center.
We hosted 12 EmpowerHER sessions with an average of 21 women attending each session. The topics covered in this women’s networking group ranged from self-defense, line dancing to financial literacy.
Our Career Center hosted 355 visits. This included career coaching, financial coaching appointments, mock interviews and more.
From December 2021 to December 2022, we have hosted 2,382 hours of volunteer work. Serve Ohio calculates the worth of each volunteer hour as $27.07. This comes out to $64,480.74 of volunteer work!
We hosted our 2022 Fashion Show, which featured clients Gwen, Stella and Arielle. This event raised a record-breaking $248,000+, which fund all of our services and programs.
Thank you to every client, volunteer, donor and supporter that helped us experience one of the best years yet! As we enter 2023, we look forward to expanding our services even further and creating a more inclusive and welcoming environment for women in the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky region.
