On October 11th, we are excited to celebrate Give to Women & Girls Day for the first time, joining a national movement that champions women’s organizations. We’re proud to be one of the nearly 50,000 organizations listed in the Women & Girls Index (WGI), which recognizes our commitment to creating a brighter future for women in our community.
While nearly 50,000 organizations in the U.S. are dedicated to supporting women and girls, they receive less than 2% of all charitable giving, according to research by the WPI. This statistic highlights the immense need for greater investment in women-focused causes—especially considering the persistent inequalities women face in the workplace.
When you contribute to Dress for Success Cincinnati on Give to Women & Girls Day, you’re helping us provide essential programs like StyleHER, HigherHER, EmpowerHER, and our new Thriving Services, which equip women with the professional attire, career coaching, and confidence they need to build meaningful careers. Your support ensures that women in Cincinnati have access to the resources they need to thrive in both their professional and personal life.
This year, when you donate $25 or more, you’ll have the chance to send a message of gratitude or encouragement. Choose to send a postcard to a woman who has empowered you or write an uplifting note to one of the women we serve. Your message will inspire and remind women in our community that they are supported on their journey.
A $250 donation covers one woman's annual attendance in EmpowerHER, our career support network, a $100 donation pays for four weeks of supplies in our Career Center, a $50 donation can cover a career coaching session and a $25 donation can help provide transportation to and from job interviews.
