Portaluca is an experience. It is a place where customers are remembered by name and are treated like family. A firm believer in the community Portaluca creates is longtime shopper, Debbie Bourchig.
“I come in here, and there are women I see here that I have been seeing for all of these years,” Debbie says. “And the sales associates are so great. It’s great to get an opinion from someone who tells you the truth.”
Debbie started shopping at Portaluca because she believed in Dress for Success’ mission to help suit women with professional attire and wanted to help that mission in any way she could.
“This is just a wonderful place and the idea of helping women to go out and join or rejoin the work-force, that’s amazing,” Debbie says. Debbie also says that shopping in Portaluca was her first introduction to designer clothing. “I got to know fine clothes and I really liked the fabric and how they fit.”
Debbie is a nurse practitioner who believes in the importance of dressing for success. “On days that you go to work, you just have a more positive experience if you feel good about how you are dressed.” Debbie says.
Debbie has found some of her favorite items in our store. She recollected purchasing one of her favorite tops to date from Portaluca. “I remember I had a party to go to and I was really nervous because I wasn’t going to know many people, so I came here and I picked out this top and all night at the party I felt so good.” Debbie says. This is not the only rare find Debbie recalls; she also tells of a pair of Italian-made leather boots that she added to her closet that were among her favorite purchases ever.
