DFSC Client Finds Success Through Our StyleHER Program

Clients love the experience of being styled for their interview and employment outfits at our Dress for Success Cincinnati StyleHER Studio, but what's even more inspiring is the results that come from that experience.

This is certainly true for client Heather Stubblefield, who just returned to our StyleHER Studio after landing a position with Cintas.

Heather first visited our studio the day of her interview with Cintas. She was given short notice to prepare for the interview and was turned onto our styling services while scavenging for an outfit at Clothes Mentor the evening before.

"I would have been up all night looking online and trying to find somewhere where I can find something cheap, because I just don't have the money," Heather said. Thankfully, a Clothes Mentor sales associate advised her to contact our Styling Manager, Kate Black, who was able to style her that day.

Heather was initially blown away by the opportunity that we provide for women of all shapes and sizes to be styled. "Do you know how hard it is to walk into a store and need a blazer or pants?" Heather said, "especially being plus size, it's even harder to find those things."

Heather used the interview outfit she received from us to interview for four different positions. Once she found employment, Dress for Success Cincinnati was the first thing on her mind.

“As soon as I got the job, I said ‘I need to make my appointment at Dress for Success,’” Heather said. “I was excited to come back here.”

Heather originally applied for a position with Cintas driving a truck, but was ultimately hired as a Customer Service Representative in the catalog department. She is thrilled to be able to work in the office using her charismatic nature to help customers order from Cintas’ Catalog and wouldn’t have to drive a truck in these cold winter months.

Heather left our style studio for the second time with the same wide smile she had the first time, along with 10 new pieces of clothing to get her started in her career.

"I would recommend anyone to come here,” Heather said. “It helped take a lot of stress off of me and it's so awesome that you do this for women.”
